Education Service
Home Health Education Service (HHES) is the publishing and literature ministry of the Southern Africa Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, based in Bloemfontein, South Africa. We publish and distribute books on health, family life, and faith through a network of Literature Evangelists working across Southern Africa.
Our Mission
We believe wellness involves the whole person. HHES exists to put literature into homes that strengthens the body, engages the mind, and settles the spirit — carried there by people who stay long enough to build a relationship.

The Literature Evangelist Ministry
Behind every book is a person. Our Literature Evangelists introduce our titles to families in their own communities — explaining what a book covers, helping people choose what fits their situation, and praying with them.
Shipping to your door
Once an order is placed, HHES packs and ships it directly to you from Bloemfontein.
Direct communication
Your Literature Evangelist stays in touch afterwards: checking that your books arrived, answering questions, and recommending what to read next.
Organisation and Roots
HHES operates under the Southern Africa Union Conference, coordinating with local congregations, regional publishing directors, and Adventist publishing houses to keep resources moving.
Our work continues the colporteur movement — the door-to-door literature ministry that has carried Adventist publishing since the 1800s. The format has changed. The conviction behind it hasn’t: a book left in a home keeps speaking long after the conversation ends.
